The Clan of the Mushroom (Obutiko Clan) has its ancestral seat in Bukalango, Busiro, with the head of the clan being Mutaka Ggunju. The origin of the clan is on Wagaba Hill, located in Wagaba, Busiro.The current head of the clan is Mutaka Matiya Kawere (Ggunju XXV). The clan's Prime Minister (Katikkiro) is Mr. Godfrey Bafiirawala Ssemugooma, and the Deputy Prime Minister is Dr. Daniel Nkaada.The clan colors include white (Enjeru), light grey (Kiragala), sky blue (Bbululu ow'obwengula), and earth brown (Kitaka) — all of which carry deep symbolic and cultural meaning. The clan has three main colors, each bearing messages and hidden histories significant to members of the Obutiko clan.The Obutiko clan participates in the Council of Tradition (Lukiiko lw'Ennono) and is the custodian of the maggunju dance drums.
